You’re right when you say “It could happen to anyone at anytime.” YT has really gone downhill. I highly recommend to anyone with a channel that he also create one on Rumble and upload videos there as well, as a “just in case” back-up plan.
I got lunch with Brian over the weekend, and he’s still perplexed about why someone lied to the YT people and made up that “scam” stuff. They pestered YT with fabricated complaints until someone at the company apparently threw his hands up and just removed the whole channel.
It’s a shame that such a thing can just happen, with no recourse from the guy with the channel. Now Brian can’t even get access to his massive back-log of videos. I told him, “Fight this!” He’s looking into legal action, which I support.
Cool pick-ups!! Seeing the last EG and the beauty of the Atari 1050 brings a tear to the eye.

It’s horrible that Brian was targeted. The whole thing has kind of made me take a break from all this for awhile (Steve)

Yeah, I can understand how such events can be pretty disillusioning. My take is that we shouldn’t let YT (or any huge money-only corporation) ruin our enthusiasms for us. They’re not in charge of the “retro” community, after all.
But I can dig the disheartening feeling, certainly. Hopefully you’ll be into it again before too long.
