“Free Jigsaw”, A Free, Configurable, Animated Jigsaw Puzzle Engine For Flash.

Free Jigsaw is free-to-use, configurable, simple, Jigsaw Puzzle engine written in Flash. “Free Jigsaw” can support any number of images, and supports “animated” puzzles using .swf files. You can re-skin the the presentation of “Free Jigsaw” by editing the included .xml file and providing your own background and button images. All images, either for the puzzles or for the buttons nd background must be in either .jpg or .swf format. “Free Jigsaw” can be used by players as far-back as Flash 7, so it will work with the Wii Opera browser.

The .xml file should be self-explanatory. You can have as many <PUZZLE> nodes as you have puzzles. Each puzzle requires it’s own node. These must be .jpg or .swf images, and they should be in the same directory as the freejigsaw2007.swf file. The <GAME_BACK> and <BUTTON_X> nodes are for your own graphics to re-skin the interface. You are granted a license to use the FREE version of “Free Jigsaw” under the following conditions:

1. You do not disassemble, reverse engineer or otherwise extract the code from the included .swf file(s)
2. You do not remove any links, pre- loader, images, etc. from the .swf file(s). All must link to http://www.8bitrocket.com/freejigsaw
3. If you would like to use your own pre-loader, change the title screen, remove the links, or get access to the source code, please email us at info@8bitrocket.com for license information for the Pro version
